I am a passionate educator, naturalist and lifelong learner. I was raised in Tsawwassen (meaning "facing the ocean" in Coast Salish), British Columbia, Canada. My travels have taken me throughout Canada, the USA, Central America, Mexico, and many parts of Asia. I write short stories, and poetry. Presently, I teach Grade 3 at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro. In the New Year, I will be trekking in Torres del Paine, in Patagonian Chile. I look forward to the next adventure~! Panama, Colombia, Ecuador
I will be flying into Panama City and spending two days there. From there, I will board a jeep bound for the coast. I will be sailing for 5 days, 5 nights via the San Blas Islands to Colombia. I anticipate being in port in Cartagena, Colombia, on December 25th. I will then spend 2 nights in Cartagena with my partner and her family. We will go east of Cartagena to Santa Mara, and will stay in the park to see some waterfalls and wildlife. After that, my partner and I will be trekking to the Ciudad Perdida over the course of 5 days, in the Sierra Nevada, of Northeast Colombia. We will then fly south to Medellin and onto Cali. After she flies back to Canada, I will be heading south to Cotopaxi, in the Ecuadorean Andes and onward. I hope to update my actual writings of the trip en route. Cheers! Jason
